Arnoldshain Seminar XI
“Migration, Development, and Demographic Change –
Problems, Consequences, Solutions”
June 25 – 28, 2013, University of Antwerp, Belgium
OVERVIEW
This four-day conference, organized by the Institute of Development Policy and Management (IOB) at the University of Antwerp, will bring together researchers interested in the following subjects:
- International Migration and Local Development
- Demography
- Integration and Trade
- Income Distribution and Inequality
- Natural Resource Management and Sustainable Development
- Economic Growth and the Impact of Shocks
- Other development-related topics
- Comparative research
Previous Seminars (cf. the history at http://www.isces.net/) have attracted speakers from different countries. We welcome academics, policy-makers, and – in particular – young researchers.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
Submissions (extended abstracts up to 1.500 words or full papers) should be in English and include title, keywords, JEL classification, author(s)’ full name(s), affiliation, address, email, fax and phone of the (responsible) author.
Several papers may be submitted.
Submissions (in pdf file format only) must be made by email only to arno11@isces.net and via our website http://www.isces.net/.

DEADLINES
Submission of papers or extended abstracts: MARCH 4, 2013
Notification of acceptance: APRIL 15, 2013
Submission of final papers and registration: MAY 20, 2013
The organizers will invite participating authors to be discussants of a paper.
FUNDING
Subject to the approval of subsidies by the Flemish Interuniversity Council (VLIR), limited funds will be available to cover for travel to Antwerp and local accommodation costs for presenters of selected papers that are nationals of countries on the Belgian Directorate-General for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid (DGD) list (see http://www.vliruos.be/
There will also be a Best Paper Award for a paper of a young researcher (author and co-authors up to and including 35 years of age). The decision will be made by the Scientific Committee after the presentations.
